Action Against Hunger

For over 25 years, Action Against Hunger has been at the forefront of the fight against hunger and malnutrition worldwide. In the most affected countries, its teams do their utmost day after day to ensure that people are given access to the most basic of human rights- the right to food.

Action Against Hunger brings assistance either during the crisis itself through emergency intervention, or afterwards through rehabilitation and sustainable development programmes. Its activities include the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of malnutrition and food security, agriculture and water and sanitation programmes.

An international, non-political, non-religious and not for profit making organization, Action Against Hunger helps more than 4.2 million people in some 43 countries around the world.

ActionAid

ActionAid is a unique partnership of people who are fighting for a world without poverty, in which every person can exercise their right to a life of dignity. We work with poor and marginalised people to help eradicate poverty by overcoming the injustice and inequity that cause it.

International Animal Rescue

International Animal Rescue (IAR) comes to the aid of wild and domestic animals with hands-on rescue and rehabilitation. We return rescued animals to the wild but also provide sanctuary for animals that can’t fend for themselves.

We also assist government departments with the introduction and enforcement of sound legislation to protect animals from cruelty and neglect.

IAR specialises in comprehensive sterilisation and inoculation programmes for stray dogs and cats, particularly in developing countries. We have offices in the UK and the US and ongoing projects in India, Indonesia and Malta.

IAR works to educate the public on the compassionate and humane treatment of all animals. We use sound scientific evidence to inform our decisions and determine the course of our rescue operations. In all that we do we aim to find lasting solutions that benefit both animals and people.
